Randy has been active in the start-up venture space for 25 years as a builder of companies, angel investor and angel group leader at Canada's most active angel group, VA Angels. To date he has invested in over 25 companies. As an ongoing mentor, he advises a number of companies in Canada, Puerto Rico & UK and is involved in various community initiatives such as A100, VA Angels VentureAlberta, and Alberta Innovation and Science. His accomplishments have earned him awards as an investor, from Startup Canada and Techvibes.
Jason has a driven edge for starting new ventures, turning around struggling companies, developing novel technology and managing fast growing opportunities. Thus far he has had direct experience in raising tens of millions in capital, winning major contracts, turning around companies and buying and selling several ventures.
Jason is also a previous Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year winner (National - Innovation and Development and Quebec - Emerging Entrepreneur), Deloitte Top 10 Fastest growing company CEO and an NRC Leaders in Innovation award recipient.
Bill is a CPA, CMA with 25 + years working with start-ups through to large corporations, public and private. Significant experience in the natural resource and technology sectors. Bill's experience is broad, including business turnarounds, significant capital and operational planning, production and sales models, computer networking and application development.
His speciality is working with funding proposals and representation to various federal and provincial programs (including IRAP, BDC, EBC, WINN, SADI, SDTC) and angel investor groups.
In addition to OKR, Bill holds CFO and Advisory Board positions at Gold Finder Explorations (TSX Ventures) and WTFast (Internet Game Acceleration, Security Solutions).
Douglas has over nine years experience in the financial services industry starting as a financial advisor in Vancouver before moving on to lead the corporate finance and due diligence team at Canada’s largest exempt market dealer. In that role Douglas worked to negotiate and structure private debt and equity offerings that totaled over $200mm in capital raised annually. Douglas is a graduate from UBC and has attained his Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
